An app for managing insomnia? [2022]

Insomnia is a condition causing a person to not be able to sleep well, frequently waking up through the night, and feeling exhausted the next day. Causing deterioration in mental and physical health. People with insomnia are usually prescribed medication, But has a down side which may affect people  to becoming addictive to the medication such as zopiclone and zolpidem.

In 2022 a National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has recommended an app named sleepio designed for treating insomnia, which was reported effective and safe without medication. Patients using sleepio reduced the use of sleeping pills by 40%, with improved symptom’s of insomnia.
